About the Item

A most decorative pair of Italian 18th century Genovese st. Wrought Iron, Giltwood and Glass chandeliers. Each elegant six arm chandelier is centered around a series of hanging spherical, rosette cut, and tear drop cut glass pendants below a carved Giltwood acorn bottom finial. Above the Giltwood final is an inverted Wrought Iron spray accented in rosette and prism cut glass pendants. The rounded Giltwood base contains palmette carved designs while it houses the six Wrought iron 'S' scrolled arms. Connecting each arm are swaging glass garlands with prism cut pendants hanging below. Intermittent blue colored glass pendants are tastefully placed amongst the clear glass pendants below the six arms. Leading up the mottled and foliate detailed Giltwood central fut is the mid section which is decorated with an array of wandering 'S' scrolled Wrought iron bands. Each of the wandering 'S' scrolling Wrought Iron bands are connected by swaging glass garlands with additional blue and red colored glass pendants. The top crown is similarly decorated as the mid section with its wandering Wrought Iron arms and swaging glass garlands. Centrally placed on the top crown is a carved acorn figure that tops off the central fut. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
