About the Item

An elegant Italian 18th century Neo-Classical st. patinated off white, Mecca and Iron chandelier. The two tiered sixteen arm chandelier has a montgolfière shape. The lower patinated off white and Mecca finished metal band supports the scrolled arms that end with giltwood candle cups. The circular band retains draping glass strands which are all joined at the bottom by a gilt metal circular rosette. Above is the smaller metal band which is decorated in the same manner and holds the second level of electrified arms. Each level is held by iron chains and glass strands which lead to the impressive top crown with large palmette sprays which are also adorned with lovely beaded swaging glass garlands.
