About the Item

A lovely Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood and faux painted marble chandelier. The six arm chandelier is centered by a charming bottom bell shaped giltwood pendant below the striking warm blue colored faux painted marble body with a beautiful richly carved wrap around foliate band. Above a beaded and mottled band are the six elegantly scrolled arms adorned with large acanthus leaves and leading to fine foliate bobeches. The three gilt metal and giltwood chains center a striking topie shaped finial and lead upwards to the beautiful faux painted and foliate canopy. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
