About the Item
An Italian Art Deco pendant attributed to the esteemed Barovier
Toso atelier, circa 1950s. The hand-blown Murano glass shade flares wide like a bell, its pressed surface rippling with arched, scallop-like impressions. Suspended from a textured column of clear pulled glass, the form is anchored by a polished chrome canopy and finial.
When lit, the frosted surface softens and emits a warm, diffused glow. An elegant focal point for an entryway, powder room, or intimate dining space.
Condition: Great vintage condition, with light oxidation and faint scratches to the chrome canopy and finial. The glass shade shows minor surface marks consistent with age, along with one small chip. The glass stem shows signs of a previous repair. This pendant has been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists with new sockets and washers. Accepts two E26 light bulbs.
