Italian brass chandelier with six lights and tall solid glass flame drops, 1970s. A refined design in the Scolari style with clear sculptural glass and curved brass arms.
Italian chandelier from the 1970s, designed in the well known Scolari style and characterised by its combination of polished brass and tall solid glass flame elements.
The chandelier is built around a central brass column with six gently curved U shaped arms. Each arm supports a long clear glass drop shaped as a stylised flame. When illuminated, the solid glass refracts the light in a subtle and lively way.
The fixture measures 52 cm, 20.5 inches, in diameter and 73 cm, 28.8 inches, in total height. The open structure together with the amount of clear glass gives the chandelier a light and transparent appearance.
Fitted with 6 E14 sockets. The brass shows light surface marks from age and use, while the glass elements are in very good condition.
Wired for European use. Rewiring for the United States or other regions can be done by a qualified electrician according to local requirements.
