About the Item

An extremely elegant and high quality Italian early 19th century crystal chandelier from the Turin region. The chandelier has twelve lights on two levels centered at the bottom by a crystal ball pendant. Each elaborately scrolled gilt metal arm is decorated with crystal garlands accented with a large crystal rosette, tear drop and kite shaped crystals, ending with a richly carved giltwood candlecup and saucer, with a satin and burnished finish. Above are three levels of beaded crystal spray with lattice design, ending with crystal rosettes and pendants. All original gilt.
