About the Item
Extraordinary Genovese Chandelier circa 1780 with Twelve Lights with transparent and blue crystals. Large Empire chandelier in Sculpted and Gilded Wood from the late 18th century, like the chandeliers in the Ducal Palace in Genoa. It consists of a central shaft made of turned wood, a support carved with plant motifs and gilded, and twelve curved arms made of iron and decorated with vintage, light blue, transparent crystals. It dates from the late 1700s and is in excellent condition, ready to hang.
This chandelier is made with a central shaft of carved wood, carved with plant motifs and gilded in fine gold; this central support, composed of several elements, is decorated by hand-embossed iron elements, connected by a multitude of festoons of transparent crystals enriched with blue crystals, surmounted by crystal flowers with the corolla in embossed and gilded brass, a precious and original detail that, together with the splendid gilding, distinguishes and emphasizes the tasteful, timeless elegance of this important salon chandelier, from the end of the 18th century.
The twelve arms branching off from the lower wooden element are made of curved, gilded iron, terminating in gilded iron bobeiges, as the chandelier was originally lit by candles.It comes from a private family in northern Italy, and is in good condition, with minimal signs of wear compatible with its eighteenth-century date; it has been re-electrified according to European standards, by our antique chandelier restoration workshop, for 12 E14 bulbs.
It should be shipped packed and hung inside a wooden case to be custom-built.

To ship from Italy an art object that is more than 50 years old, we must apply to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage for an export license called BELLE ARTI, the issuance of which takes a couple of weeks or so, to be added to the order processing time.

Lampadario Italiano della metà XX secolo in Cristallo Bohemia a 12 bracci. Elegante lampadario da sala in cristallo di Bohemia a dodici luci del 1950 circa; il fusto centrale a balaustro formato da vasi di vetro stampato è delimitato nelle estremità inferiori e superiori da due coppe in cristallo, internamente dorate al mercurio, decorate da pendenti a cuspide distanziati con ottagono.
Dalla coppa centrale dipartono dodici bracci in cristallo pieno, a voluta semplice e dalla superficie sfaccettata; i relativi piattelli hanno le stesse finiture delle coppe dorate ed in corrispondenza di questi ed a metà di ogni braccio troviamo un pendente in cristallo piatto a losanga sagomata.
Tra i bracci troviamo eleganti pastorali curvi in cristallo pieno, con la superficie sfaccettata, ai quali sono appesi dei pendenti identici a quelli dei bracci.
Il lampadario proviene da una villa privata di Milano.
Il lampadario è stato elettrificato secondo gli standard europei per una potenza totale di watt 1000 divisi su due linee. Idoneo per 12 lampadine Edison 14
