About the Item

A rare Art Deco Murano glass pendant attributed to the esteemed Barovier Toso atelier in the 1930s. The ruffled shade, crafted from clear, textured glass, glistens like frozen lace—its organic, rippling form shaped entirely by hand. Framed by a gracefully twisted glass loop and suspended from a twisted brass stem with a matching glass canopy, this piece emits a luminous, ambient warmth that feels both ethereal and inviting. The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art. For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day. Condition: Great vintage condition, with a natural patina to the brass. Very minor marks and chips to the glass, which blend in due to the texture. This pendant has been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists with new washers. Accepts one E26 light bulb.
