About the Item
Rare Murano glass hexagonal pendant, crafted by Italian glassmaker VeArt in the 1970s.
This chandelier features 18 hand-blown Murano glass prisms, each suspended from a hexagonal white metal frame by individual thin metal chains.
The glass elements are characterized by their distinct Quadrifoglio (four-leaf clover) cross-section and a heavy, textured finish. The interplay of clear and gold-hued (amber) glass creates a mesmerizing effect, casting a warm and elegant glow when illuminated.
Designed as a statement piece, this pendant reflects the meticulous craftsmanship of Murano glassmaking, where each element undergoes individual quality control. The hexagonal structure adds a geometric sophistication, making it a versatile fixture for a variety of interior styles. A true collectible from the golden era of Italian design.
The chandelier is in good vintage condition. The metal ceiling frame shows visible signs of aging and oxidation consistent with its 50+ year history, but one piece of the inner circkel has a hairline crack with no structural damage (see photos).
