A rare 'Putti' Murano glass pendant attributed to the esteemed Barovier
Toso atelier in the 1950s. The ruffled shade, crafted from clear, textured glass, glistens like frozen lace—its organic, rippling form shaped entirely by hand. Scalloped arms radiate from the central bloom, their fluted rims and feathered surfaces casting layered refractions of light. The patinated brass frame curves into a round canopy, drawing the eye upward.
The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art. For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier
Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day.
Condition: Great vintage condition, with a darkened patina throughout the brass frame. The glass elements are intact with no chips or cracks. This chandelier has been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists and is equipped with a new hanging system and canopy. Accepts one E26 light bulb.
