About the Item
Very rare and elegant Viennese Modern Age bronzed brass chandelier designed by Professor Hugo Gorge and manufactured by Melzer
Neuhardt in Vienna, Austria. Prof. Hugo Gorge was one of the founders of Viennese Modern, together with Adolf Loos, Josef Frank, Dagobert Peche
Josef Hoffmann. He worked many years for Wiener Werkstätte and won many awards, f.e. Grand Prix de Paris + Diplôme d'honneur 1925. Excellent original condition with a lovely patina. Comes with six original lampshade cages.
Six ceramic E27 Edison sockets, the chandelier works on 110V - 240V.
