Carlo Nason (nato nel 1935 a Murano, Venezia) è un designer e maestro vetraio italiano, noto per le sue opere in vetro di Murano e per il design di lampade e oggetti d’arredo dal forte valore estetico e artigianale. Proveniente da una famiglia di lunga tradizione vetraria, Nason ha saputo fondere l’antica maestria muranese con un linguaggio moderno ed elegante. Nel corso della sua carriera ha intrapreso collaborazioni con numerose aziende, tra cui una delle più durature e proficue con A.V. Mazzega, dal 1958 al 1980. In questo periodo ha progettato lampade diventate vere e proprie icone del design italiano. Le sue opere si distinguono per l’equilibrio tra forma, luce e colore, ma anche per una costante sperimentazione tecnica, che lo ha portato a esplorare nuove forme e lavorazioni del vetro, unendo innovazione e tradizione.
