About the Item

The unusual chandelier is constructed with a central gilt bronze frame from which multiple scrolling arms extend, each terminating in a candle-form light fitting. These arms are adorned with curved bobeches shaped like white flowers with green-tinted bases. The overall structure is embellished with an array of glass, floral, and foliate decorations in various colors, including white, blue, pink, and deep green. The flowers, formed from hand-molded and enameled glass, display radial veining in contrasting colors and are mounted with gilt centers. The leaves are shaped from translucent green and dark green glass, cut and curved to resemble natural foliage. Thin gilt bronze wires curl and wind around the arms, further enhancing the floral motif. The design is Viennese glasswork, a style noted for its elaborate and colorful floral ornamentation combined with metalwork. This chandelier is fitted with six upward-curving arms, each supporting a tall faux candles. The combination of the gilt bronze structure and the vivid glass elements creates a complex arrangement that integrates lighting with decorative botanical forms.
