About the Item

This very large and substantial cast and gilt bronze twelve-arm chandelier was made in France is circa 1900 in the Louis XIV style. The chandelier is ornately cast with a series of figural heads on the top, which are repeated around the central body and accented with decorative leaves and pineapple finials. The twelve arms are also nicely box shaped and detailed with small leaves. The chandelier is finished on the bottom with a large pineapple finial. The chandelier has retained its original ceiling cap and has a chain composed of last box links. The height dimension posted can be diminished by approximately six inches given the length of the post. Please note that this chandelier is substantial, weighing as much as two hundred pounds and spans some thirty plus inches across.
