About the Item
A custom-made polished bronze pendant light dating to the late 1970s-early 1980s. The design features a broad concave reflector with a central frosted diffuser, suspended from three rods capped with ball finials. Made from very thick, heavy bronze, the surface is polished to a mirror-like finish, recalling the glamorous treatment of metal seen in Gabriella Crespi's work.
Where the lacquer has naturally worn, the bronze has darkened to a rich patina, creating a beautiful contrast with the high-polish surfaces. The unpolished interior reveals the authentic aged character of the bronze, further emphasizing the depth and warmth of the material.
Four pendants are available, though they are priced and sold individually. Each piece remains in excellent vintage condition, with light lacquer wear and natural patination adding to the overall character. This pendant is impressive in scale and presence, making it ideal over a dining table, kitchen island, or entryway, where its reflective surface not only amplifies light but also acts as a sculptural focal point within the room.
