About the Item

An amazing and quite spectacular space-age futuristic 1980s Italian Murano glass globe aged-brass sputnik chandelier. Made in Italy. The three inter-connected aged brass globes support each of the 48 arms with a smoked-green glass globe at each end. The light is 2.5m high and 1m wide at the widest point. The two higher globes are the same size with one smaller one at the bottom which has four globes pointing downwards. All the globes are removable but the brass frame which is very sturdy needs to be carried as one piece. The globes can be reattached when the frame is in situ attached to the ceiling. The globe folders have four flexible clips which hold each globe in place. A screw-in E14 dimmable LED bulb is required in each one. Max 40W. I have left the brass with an aged patina with some age spots which can be polished out if required. The light was been rewired by a professional electrician and is in full working order. In good vintage condition with some aging to the brass. There are no cracks or scratches to the globes. The chandelier is perfect for an atrium, reception/hallway, living or dining room with high ceilings in a residential or commercial space that requires a show-stopper of a light.
