Large Maria Theresa Chandelier, first half of the twentieth century
In 1743, a chandelier was made in honor of Austrian Empress Maria Theresa (1717-1780) that became the prototype for an entire genre: it is a metal-framed pendant chandelier in which the gilded body is embellished in the center with an ornamental glass stem.
This chandelier features 15 lights and glass drops all in perfect condition.
The glass drops have all been washed and the overall condition of the chandelier is excellent.
