The Large Leidyi Pendant evokes domed shell and coral forms and is rendered in layered handblown glass with a delicate brass chain. It is part of the Marea Collection - an exploration of organic forms inspired by marine life and underwater seascapes. Marea translates to ‘the sea’ in Romanian and the collection is informed by designer Andreea Avram Rusu’s childhood summers on the Black Sea and her love of scuba diving.

AVRAM RUSU STUDIO
Avram Rusu Studio is a multidisciplinary design studio known for distinctly sculptural work. Founded by architect Andreea Avram Rusu in 2004, the Brooklyn based company specializes in finely crafted and beautifully detailed products made in the US. The studio works closely with many New York based artists and artisans including glass blowers, ceramic artists, metal workers, machinists, finishers and wood workers. All pieces are designed, and prototyped in the Avram Rusu Brooklyn studio.
