About the Item
Pendant light was produced by German manufacturer Cosack Leuchten in the 1970s. An example of functional modernist design, it combines architectural aesthetics with high-quality lighting engineering.
The fixture creates a striking visual impact with its large (51 cm) drum shade formed from a band of translucent white acrylic (plexiglass). This ring is suspended by sleek chrome clips and a central chrome rod. The heart of the design is the intricate internal louver system (grid) consisting of concentric white rings beneath a black metal top plate. This structure acts as a sophisticated diffuser, softening the light and eliminating glare from the bulbs while directing illumination downwards. It is an ideal fixture for illuminating a large dining table or a conference room with refined, shadow-free light.
Condition Report: The lamp is in good vintage condition. The acrylic shade is clean with no cracks, showing only minor signs of age (light surface wear). The chrome parts are bright. The internal louver system is intact.
