Spanish Large Scrollwork Chandelier with 6 Milk Glass Globes, Wrought Iron
Outstanding Six-Arm Glass Globe Chandelier / Flush Mount Ceiling Light in silver leaf gilt iron.
Manufacted by Ferro Art, Spain 1950s.
Large size. Rare find.
This stunning six-light chandelier features a ring structure holding six arms in sunburst disposition with an opaline glass globe lampshade each. Each milk glass globe is seated on a thick scroll-ended structure. The arms join at the central part on a round ring that hangs from a thick chain that could be shortened or removed to use it flush mounted.
This piece was entirely made by hand in hand forged iron. The chandelier's iron structure is heavily adorned by the hammer marks thorough ( Please enlarge the images to see in detail the superb hammersmith work).
It has a nice aged patina and shows its original silver leaf gilding finish.
This chandelier is a spectacular piece to preside a main room, living room or entry hall. It can be used as ceiling light fixture as well removing the chain.
