This magnificent and generously sized Art Deco pendant is without question one of our finest discoveries of the year. Every element, from the beautifully patinated, matching brass canopy to the monumental, hand-carved alabaster shade, is preserved in outstanding, near-mint condition.
The design is powerful yet refined, showcasing the unmistakable elegance of the Art Deco period. Almost certainly originally commissioned for a grand entrance hall, an elegant salon, or the master bedroom of a period mansion, this fixture radiates timeless sophistication and architectural presence.
The shade itself is a true work of art, painstakingly hand-carved from a single solid block of natural alabaster. When illuminated, the stone comes alive: dramatic black veining intertwines with warm amber, honey, and cream tones, creating a mesmerizing, organic light effect that only nature can provide.
