A stunning French Art Deco chandelier designed by Loys Lucha (Paris) in the 1920s. This exquisite piece features a finely etched and enameled glass shade suspended from a bronze fixture by Charles Ranc (Paris) — a superb example of early 20th-century French craftsmanship and artistry.

Founded by Louis Joseph Chaffard-Luçon, the Verreries d’Art de Loys Lucha operated from the 1910s through the 1930s, with workshops in Billancourt (Paris) and Nancy. The company was celebrated for its hand-enameled and acid-etched glass lighting, epitomizing the refinement and decorative artistry of the French Art Deco era.
The Loys Lucha name is derived from the artist’s own — Loys for Louis and Lucha from CHAfard-LUçon — a mark synonymous with quality and elegance in collectible French glass lighting.
The bronze fixture was produced by Charles Ranc, founder of Bronzes d'Éclairage C. Ranc in 1909. Renowned for his finely chiseled bronze work, Ranc’s designs were known for their precision and sophistication. In the mid-1930s, the company became Ranc Frères, continuing to produce elegant Art Deco lamps, sconces, and chandeliers admired for their exceptional craftsmanship.
This rare French Art Deco ceiling light exemplifies the harmonious collaboration between two of the most respected Parisian lighting ateliers of the 1920s — Loys Lucha and Charles Ranc — making it a remarkable centerpiece for discerning collectors and refined interiors.
