French Art Deco pendant chandelier by Loys Lucha (Paris), created in the 1920s, France.
This rare chandelier features a finely etched glass shade with enameled geometric patterns, suspended from an elegant brass fixture, perfectly illustrating the refined craftsmanship and modernist aesthetic of the French Art Deco period.
The glass shade is signed “Loys Lucha”, confirming its authenticity (see photo). The harmonious contrast between the etched edges and the vibrant enameled decoration highlights the exceptional quality of Loys Lucha’s glasswork, highly sought after by collectors of Art Deco lighting and French decorative arts.

Loys Lucha was the trademark name of Louis Joseph Chaffard-Luçon, a French glassmaker active from the 1910s through the 1930s. His workshops, known as Les Verreries d’Art de Loys Lucha, were located in Paris (31 rue Fernand Pelloutier, Billancourt) and Nancy, two major centers of French decorative arts.
Specializing in enameled art glass, Loys Lucha became renowned for his elegant lighting fixtures and decorative glass objects during the Art Deco period. His work is distinguished by refined geometric motifs, rich enameling, and high technical quality. The name “Loys Lucha” is derived from his own name: “Loys” for Louis and “Lucha” from CHAfard-LUçon.
Today, signed Loys Lucha pieces are increasingly rare and highly collectible, representing an important chapter in French Art Deco glass and lighting design.
