Magnificent Antique Empire Style Crystal Chandelier, France, circa 1900–1920
A grand and richly detailed antique crystal chandelier in the Empire style, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1920), expertly crafted in France. This elegant fixture features a cascading tent-shaped form composed of hundreds of hand-strung crystal beads, culminating in a richly adorned lower basket encircled by gilded brass frames and garlands of faceted pendants.
The chandelier is fitted with 10 E14 bulbs, arranged in a circular pattern around a finely cut central glass column. The warm gilt brass structure provides a luxurious contrast to the cool brilliance of the lead crystal drops and rosettes, while the scalloped crown and lower foliate glass accents add opulent detail.
Its impressive proportions—73 cm in diameter and 75 cm in height—make it a spectacular centerpiece for a grand salon, entrance hall, or dining room.
