Elegant Mid-Century cascade pendant by Glashütte Limburg with three smoked hand-blown globes and brass accents, Germany, 1970s.
This Mid-Century Modern cascade pendant by Glashütte Limburg was produced in Germany during the 1970s and features a refined, sculptural arrangement of three smoked hand-blown glass globes suspended at staggered heights from a substantial circular canopy.
Each globe measures 20 cm (7.87 in) in diameter and is made of Limburg’s signature bubble glass, where naturally formed air inclusions create a sparkling and atmospheric diffusion of light. When illuminated, the warm glow interacts beautifully with the smoky tint of the glass and the polished brass fittings, giving this fixture an elegant presence suitable for both residential and boutique interiors.
The globes hang from a large 45 cm (17.72 in) diameter canopy, finished in white lacquer on the exterior and brass on the underside. The varying cable lengths create a soft cascading effect, making the piece ideal for staircases, hallways, dining areas, or modern living spaces.
The brass components show a light patina consistent with age, while the glass is in excellent original condition. The lamp has been fully rewired with porcelain E27 sockets and is fully compatible with US, UK, and EU electrical standards. Ready for immediate installation.
