About the Item
These milk glass globe pendant lights were reclaimed from former municipal buildings in Prague and retain their original handblown opaline glass globes, paired with contrasting dark brown Bakelite galleries. The combination of softly diffused glass and utilitarian Bakelite reflects the functional yet thoughtfully balanced approach typical of mid-century Eastern European lighting design.
Each pendant measures approximately 250 mm in diameter and produces an even, ambient glow when illuminated, making them particularly well suited to hallways, circulation spaces, or installed in multiples above kitchen counters, bars, or communal tables. Their simple spherical form is timeless, allowing the quality of materials and proportion to take visual precedence.
The lights have been professionally restored and rewired with new CE-certified electrical components, with UL-listed wiring available for use in the United States. Each pendant is supplied with a ceiling suspension kit, including chain and ceiling hook, ready for installation in contemporary interiors.
