About the Item

A beautiful five-arm ceiling lamp made by Saariston Valaisin in the late 1950s or early 1960s, featuring hand-painted glass shades and an elegant brass structure. This lamp captures the warm, decorative side of Finnish mid-century lighting design, where functional forms were paired with subtle ornamentation and craftsmanship. The five opaline glass shades are delicately painted by hand, each displaying a softly winding golden pattern that gives the lamp a gentle sense of movement. Their rounded form sits harmoniously on the curved brass arms, creating a balanced silhouette that feels both refined and inviting. The central stem and canopy extend the brass lines upward, giving the lamp a graceful vertical presence. The center piece, painted in black and hold everything together.
