Rare Mid-Century Modern Cocoon Pendant Light by Goldkant Leuchten, Germany, 1960s An exceptional example of mid-century lighting design, this sculptural pendant lamp was produced by renowned German manufacturer Goldkant Leuchten in the 1960s. The broad, flattened cocoon-style shade emits a warm, diffuse light, creating an inviting atmosphere while serving as a striking focal point. Model: Edefors The organically textured surface, with its gentle bulges and subtle irregularities, is characteristic of the innovative cocoon technique used during that era. The manufacturer Goldkant is known for various Cocoon lamp designs from the 60s/70s. Many Goldkant designs are often attributed to Castiglioni, as the patterns and shapes used are very similar.
