About the Item

Impressive Mid-Century glass pendant lamps by Peill Putzler, based on a design by Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner from the 1950s. Here in a rare version with transparent swirl glass. The design impresses with its interplay of transparency and delicate ornamentation. The light fixtures have a classic diabolo shape and are made of glass. The clear glass is crisscrossed with fine white lines that spiral around the lamp. In contrast to the opal version of the Island, this transparent model reveals additional elements. The interplay of the outer layer of art glass with the unveiling of the technical details inside gives this design a special depth. The lights are in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The cables have been professionally replaced.
