About the Item

Impressive pendant lamp by Italian manufacturer Candle, based on a design by Alessandro Pianon from the early 1970s. A very rare item. A classic yet modern design. The convex curves of the upper metal shade are offset by perforations. The fine lines of holes appear when the light is switched on and give the shade its structure. The lower shade is suspended from the upper shade and has a large opening in the center, which houses a diffuser made of thick, clear textured glass. The canopy is elaborately designed in the same style as the lamp. The cable is laid in loops to relieve strain. The decorative sheathing of the supporting steel cable with white beads is striking. The materials and workmanship are of very high quality. The metal elements are made of brass and nickel-plated. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
