About the Item

Large Pendant Lamp in Pulegoso and Lattimo Glass by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli for Sotis Murano, Italy, 1970s This extraordinary pendant lamp, made in the 1970s by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli for Sotis Murano, represents a perfect fusion between material experimentation and the craftsmanship of Murano glass. The large diffuser is hand-blown in transparent glass using the "pulegoso" technique, which gives the surface a vibrant texture and a unique visual effect: thousands of small air bubbles, intentionally incorporated into the glass during processing, soften the light and give it a velvety and diffused aesthetic. A contrasting, continuous band in white "lattimo" glass runs horizontally across the dome, adding a refined graphic touch. The “lattimo” is obtained through a particular glass composition enriched with microcrystals, which give the material an opaque and milky appearance, capable of capturing the light with elegance. A rare and scenographic piece, an example of the excellence of Murano design from the 70s, ideal for modern, vintage or eclectic environments that desire a light point with a strong personality. Dimensions: Diameter: 41cm Heigth: 100cm. Conditions: Excellent vintage condition with slight signs of aging, consistent with the age.
