About the Item

This refined and graphic Mid-Century Modern lantern chandelier was realized in Italy, circa 1960. It features an amorphic ovoid form shade in frosted glass that rests in between two circular brass supports with cutout centers. An abundance of sinuously curved white enamel embellishments connect the brass discs, imbuing the piece with a subtle dynamism. With its bold form and idiosyncratic lines, this piece embodies the verve and élan that discerning collectors of first rate Italian Mid-Century Modern design absolutely adore. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic midcentury to contemporary. The chandelier has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. Italy, circa 1960 Dimensions: 13" height X 9.5" diameter.
