A striking mid‑century Murano glass chandelier attributed to Barovier
Toso, handcrafted in Italy circa 1955–1965. The attribution is based on the chandelier’s refined use of graniglia glass, elegant ribbed stem, and sculpted floral elements—hallmarks of Barovier & Toso’s celebrated mid‑century production.
With its luminous cristallo (clear) and lattimo (soft white) glass, this refined piece creates a beautifully balanced, airy presence of effortless elegance in any space.
The gently fluted top crown features the graniglia technique, where tiny glass particles melt into the surface to produce a subtle, crystalline shimmer. Three delicately curved stems rise from the center, each supporting a hand‑formed bell‑flower shade that glows warmly when lit. Sculpted leaves and the elongated ribbed glass column add graceful dimension and texture.
Perfectly scaled for dining rooms, entryways, or sophisticated living spaces, this chandelier offers a timeless blend of translucence and form, capturing the lightness and handcrafted beauty that define classic Murano design.

Inconspicuous, flea‑bite chips on the very tips of the clear glass leaves. These are not visible, but you can feel them if you run your fingers along the points. Ships disassembled.
