Pendant light produced by the Spanish lighting company Metalarte, likely in the late 1970s or 1980s. Known for their collaborations with top designers and high manufacturing standards, Metalarte created a piece that creates a beautiful balance between direct and ambient light.
The lamp features a wide (46 cm) white lacquered metal dome that directs light downwards, perfect for illuminating a dining table. Its standout design feature is the semi-transparent, ribbed glass housing at the top of the shade. This glass element allows a soft, diffused glow to escape upwards, illuminating the fixture itself and creating a gentle atmospheric light against the ceiling. The lamp retains its original "Metalarte - Spain" label on the rim.
