About the Item
Mid-20th century pendant light by silversmith Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002) for Bergboms of Sweden, model T-21.
A simple and elegant pendant light in painted metal and brass. The large shade - black above and white below - simply rests on the smaller diffuser and brass dome. Stamped Sigv. Bernadotte on the edge of the shade.
The light is in vintage condition, with a nice used patina to the brass. There is age-related wear throughout, including marks to the finish of both the paint and the brass, see images for examples and overview.
Wiring
New wiring and canopy will be required to suit the country of install. The original bulb-holder takes a single E27 screw-in unit, and we advise using a low-heat bulb to protect this piece for the future.

Sigvard Bernadotte
Sigvard Bernadotte was a Swedish prince and industrial designer. He was the second son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught, a granddaughter of Britain's Queen Victoria. Bernadotte was born a Swedish prince and was originally titled Duke of Uppland, but was excluded from the line of succession and lost his Swedish titles in 1934 when he married a commoner.
