About the Item
This stunning modernist chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features rectangular bodies consisting of an abundance of translucent interlocking "c" shaped glass segments in handblown Murano glass in a rich opalescent hue. The Murano glass pieces attach to a nickel frame that attaches to a round canopy via a chain all in polished nickel. With its beautiful glass quality and clean modernist lines, this chandelier would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The fixture accommodates four Edison based bulbs providing up to 400 watts of light.
