About the Item

This stunning and dramatic modernist chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Murano renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features an organic orbital form with a wealth of handblown Murano stylized floral shades in jet black. This chandelier represents a rare variation on a classic and iconic Mid Century floral Italian chandelier. Here, however, it has been reimagined in a sexier and more powerful monochromatic palate- pure black. With its clean modernist lines and striking sculptural presence, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates 6 candelabra bulbs offering up to 360 watts of light. Dimensions: Overall Height: 35" x Diameter: 18"
