About the Item
Manufactured by Sothis and designed by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poly, this pendant, suspension, globe is a hand crafted Murano glass light.
This uses a particularity and exceptional, almost unique, technique that only true Murano glass masters can deliver. It is a mix of pulegosso technique, which, by adding some bicarbonate of sodium to the melting glass to a certain temperature. The bicarbonate releases gas which creates the bubbles captured in the glass when it cools down.
This piece represent one of the new mine of design used in traditional Murano factories as they re-invented the process of lightings and diffraction if the light.
