About the Item
Capullo Pendant is a handcrafted ceramic pendant featuring two mouth-blown glass globes, inspired by the cocoon structures of insects as the name “Capullo” reflects. The unique hanging ring resembles a piercing, accentuating the organic and fleshy look of the hanging light sculpture.
This is a single pendant meant to be an elegant and unique accent piece for any home, lobby or space. its accesible size, allows for this architectural piece to be used as night stand lighting, an accent moment or even as a center piece chandelier. Heavily inspired in nature's growth and biomorphic aesthetics.
The “Botryoidal” are digitally grown through coding, following a fractal-like pattern similar to nature and then materialized in experimental, handcrafted ceramics, to the function of lighting design and furniture. Each piece has its own character and finish featuring custom crystal glazes which perform in their own special ways during their firing process. These glazes accentuate the bubbly patterns, with folds capturing deeper crystal hues or textures and convexities showing smoother moments of color.

Forma Rosa Studio is a Design Studio, based in Brooklyn New York, co-founded by Maria Teresa Castillo and Santiago Braby Brown. The studio focuses on the digital design and sourcing of limited edition, hand crafted objects for you and your home. These functional artworks draw heavily on natural phenomena, as the studio co-founders find inspiration in the environments that they grew up in; Lima, Peru and Bellingham, WA, together with their digital design training in New York City. Both creatives, with training in Architecture and Industrial Design, find inspiration in the development of new relationships between the digital design of our generation together with artisan craft.
