Ovaloid by Ango is a sculptural, handwoven rattan pendant light designed for long dining tables, kitchen islands, and architectural interiors. The piece translates the refined geometry of an extended eclipse into a horizontal form, combining artisanal craftsmanship with contemporary LED technology.
Each Ovaloid is meticulously handwoven using superfine natural rattan in Ango’s signature random weave. At this delicate scale, the rattan reveals exceptional translucency and light reflectivity, softly diffusing illumination to create a warm, inviting glow. The result is ambient lighting that enhances texture, depth, and material presence without overpowering the space.
Suspended with a sense of lightness and balance, Ovaloid functions as both a modern ceiling light and a sculptural design object.
