About the Item
This rare pair of “Luzette” pendant lamps was designed by Peter Behrens for AEG and Siemens in the 1930s, representing one of the most influential lighting models of the early modern movement. Each pendant features a sculptural opaline milk glass shade and finely detailed brass-plated metal elements, reflecting Behrens’ pioneering industrial aesthetic and his central role in shaping German design.
Both fixtures have been expertly restored, fitted with new electrical wiring, and equipped for E26–E27 bulbs, making them fully US-compatible. The pendants display minor age-appropriate wear consistent with their nearly century-old origin.
