About the Item
A beautiful pair of ceiling pendant lamps in full brass, made by Itsu in Finland in the 1950s. Model ER 84.
The bell shaped brass shades are perforated with a two-dot pattern, are very beautiful and with their original patina. The lamps are small and hang seperately so they can be situated at different corners or even seperate rooms if needed. Absolute beauties. Both lamps are in good original condition with wiring changed at some point.
Itsu was one of the leading lamp manufacturers in Finland during the middle of the 20th century and a daughter company of Idman. Along with companies like Taito Oy, Idman and Orno they defined what Finnish design lamps would become. It made high quality lamps and produced lamps for major projects, including some of Alvar Aalto's projects like the Aalto University.
