About the Item

An exceptional pair of Italian 18th century Genovese st. giltwood, pressed metal, glass, and crystal chandeliers. Each eight arm chandelier is centered by a charming bottom foliate finial below most decorative carved acanthus leaf designs. Each elegantly scrolled arm is adorned with a beautiful array of swaging garlands with lovely prism shaped and ball crystal pendants and superb blue and amber colored glass reserves. Additional most decorative garlands with striking colorful glass reserves lead upwards centering the baluster shaped giltwood central fut with lovely foliate carvings to a fine pressed metal tier. The top crown also displays a remarkable foliate designed pressed metal band with additional lovely colorful swaging garlands. All original gilt throughout. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
