About the Item

A elegant associated pair of Italian 19th century crystal, giltwood and gilt metal chandeliers. This complementary pair displays eight gilt metal arms on one, and six on the other. At the bottom of each chandelier is an elegant cut crystal pendant connected to the central tier by respective six or eight swaging beaded crystal garlands. The central giltwood tier is richly carved with elegant recessed cabuchons at the outside while the inside displays charming acanthus leaves carvings. At the center of the chandelier is a beaded crystal spray with six or eight arms ending in kite shaped crystals and a central cut dagger. The gilt metal top tier is connected by beaded garlands and adorned with prism and cut crystal pendants centered by a solid crystal ball pendant with a giltwood crown and three iron sprays ending in elegant crystals.
