About the Item

Pair of large vintage Taraxacum 2 lamps, designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in 1960. These large cocoon lamps are among the most distinctive creations of the Castiglioni brothers, celebrated for their experimental use of materials and their poetic approach to everyday objects. The Taraxacum series was produced using a sprayed resin technique developed in the 1960s, creating a soft, diffused light and a sculptural presence. With their organic form and striking scale, these lamps embody the Castiglioni brothers’ ability to transform simple materials into timeless design icons. Original pairs of Taraxacum 2 lamps are rare to find, making this set especially desirable for collectors and design enthusiasts. Both pieces retain their unique character and showcase the enduring appeal of one of Italy’s most influential design duos, whose work is represented in major museums worldwide, including MoMA in New York.

Rare floor lamp with hammered brass leaves by Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce
By Arredoluce, Angelo Lelii
Located in Sittard, LI
We proudly present this monumental palm floor lamp designed by Angelo Lelii and produced by Arredoluce, Monza Italy ca. 1950. This extremely rare floor lamp features 6 leaves in hammered brass with original green lacquer on the insides, the brass surround the perforated metal lamp shade in the centre of the lamp. The heavy cast-iron base gives stability to this floor lamp. The lamp still remains in a all original condition with a beautiful patina, ready to use. Signed by the maker underneath the base. Angelo Lelii (1915–1979). Born Paolo Angelo Lelii in Ancona, Angelo Lelii moved with his family to Milan, where he worked and married Monza-born Rosa Bianca Bussetti. The couple moved to Monza after marriage, and although the biographical information available is scarce, we know that he began manufacturing lamps in his Monza house in 1943 and that in 1946 he advertised his Tris lamp...
