The PAN series exemplifies Karlby's talent for creating timeless designs. Originally influenced by the Pop Art trend of the 1970s, early PAN lamps featured colored interiors. Today, they boast monochrome anodized aluminum surfaces, making them contemporary design pieces for modern living.
Bent Karlby, a prolific and versatile Danish lighting designer of the 20th century, began his collaboration with LYFA in the 1940s, a partnership that lasted nearly four decades. Known for his soft light, organic shapes, and hallmark peepholes, Karlby's later work embraced geometric shapes like cones, cylinders, and arcs, along with playful colors.
