About the Item
A Mid-Century Modern cylindrical and polished solid brass pendant light with great patina designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and manufactured by AB Markaryd circa 1960.
The inside is painted white, aged and thus a bit yellowed.
One side has more patina and the other one less.
The height of the body without cord is 12.6 inch / 32 cm. The length of the cords can be customized for free of charge.
Original canopies with label inside: "Hans-Agne Jakobsson, AB Markaryd, Made in Sweden"
The original canopy can be replaced with flat US canopy with the dimensions of diameter x height is 5 x 1 inch.
There is also a pair available without patina. For details please make an inquiry.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
