Stunning and rare color, 15.7 inches (40 cm) in diameter, hand-carved alabaster pendant light from the Arts and Crafts era.
Some light fixtures instantly captivate, and this alabaster ceiling pendant is undeniably one of them. With its generous size, authentic detailing, and nearly poetic color palette, this is truly one of the most beautiful models we've ever seen, or sold.
What makes this piece stand out immediately is its warm, soft pink to deep rose hue, subtly blending into white and light peach tones depending on the angle and lighting. The striking black veining, sometimes graphite-dark, other times soft grey, branches out across the stone like natural lightning. These unique tones are the result of ancient mineral compositions and oxidation processes deep within the earth, making every alabaster fixture like this one truly one of a kind.
When the light is switched on, the entire character of the piece transforms: the pink tones glow like a rare sunset, while the darker veins take on even more depth. The creamier, white sections begin to radiate like full moonlight, and the semi-translucent veins gently illuminate, adding a magical, ambient warmth to the space.
