‘Pli’ Italian Paper Suspension Lamp for Foscarini
Created by Danish designer Felicia Arvid and produced by Foscarini, the Italian lighting firm founded in Venice on the legendary island of Murano, where generations of master glass blowers have skillfully used their unmatched imagination and skill to create the most innovative works of light into the modern era.
The ‘Pli’ is fabricated with a thin perforated sheet of the finest Italian paper, which is crossed by the luminous tube, transforming from a flat surface into a three-dimensional presence made of folds and draping. The result is a lamp with indirect and delicately diffused lighting, achieved through a meticulous step by step process, which appears soft as a garment and inspired by a dressmaker working with fabric, thread and needle.
Price per item. In stock and available to order in unlimited quantities. Fabricated in perforated Italian paper, natural aluminum in a satin finish, and PMMA. Suspended by two steel suspension cables attached to two matte white ceiling canopies, and powered by a transparent cord.
