Unique and extra large size, alabaster chandelier of great quality and condition.
This unique Art Deco fixture from the heydays of the European Art Deco era is another one of our recent great finds. Its remarkable, circular and layered shade is all hand carved out of one solid rock of alabaster. For this light they clearly picked the ideal rock for it comes with the most beautiful veins and patches. Ones that have formed in this mineral stone over a period of thousands of years, making it even more special. The stunning, layered Art Deco shade is beautifully flat at the bottom. The perfectly circular layers are an inch thick and that too is why this pure Art Deco fixture still is in such great condition. So this not only is one of the most stylish Art Deco alabaster lights we have ever had the pleasure of offering, it also is in good condition
It must have taken one highly skilled craftsman a lot of time to perfectly hand create this remarkable Art Deco design and for it to still be in such good condition after 100 years too is like an ode to his craftsmanship. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this stunning light fixture. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit more and this remarkable and large size pendant is no exception. The perfect blackened chain and canopy and finial under the shade are like the icing on the cake of this timeless pendant. Mind you, this striking 3-light pendant too is wired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and thanks to the metal bracket inside the canopy, mounting this light tight to your ceiling is child's play.
